Coming into marriage

When couples finally have decided to get married the first major event in their life together is the wedding and reception (If they choose to have one) This is a great way to start your marriage! You might be thinking well yes, of course, we are celebrating our marriage and get to have presents sent to us. Sure, all that stuff is wonderful, your wedding should be a celebration, but let’s get past that part.
What about the parts leading to your wedding? Think of all the planning that goes into a wedding. There’s deciding on the location, how you’ll be married, the groomsmen/bridesmaids, the colors, the cake, the BUDGET, figuring out the guest list. All of that planning and who does it?
I hope you thought the Bride and Groom.
A lot of times you can tell how the marriage will be by how they handle and plan their wedding. Now don’t start attacking me, I understand that the Bride has had it planned since she was 9 years old. I understand that you want to make sure this is a bonding experience for you and your mom… But you’re marrying your spouse; this is their wedding as well.
This is a wonderful opportunity for you and your spouse to work under a budget together and become creative. If you don’t know how to plan on a budget for a wedding, you will probably struggle when it comes to other budgets in the future. Practice now so you don’t have as many worries and have to face that challenge later on.
